Area fields continued to dry out last week, aided by the warm, dry weather. A report released yesterday by the National Agricultural Statistics Service, showed that while the amount of fields with adequate moisture dropped, crop conditions have not been impacted.

In this portion of Iowa, 55% of topsoil is short or very short on moisture. Subsoil moisture is doing better, with around 65% having an adequate supply.
