A group that provides additional funds for WACO Schools is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Formed in 2003, the WACO Community Schools Foundation has helped pay for an all-weather track, started a preschool scholarship program, and has supplemented district funds for educational programs.

According to WACO Superintendent and president of the foundation, Darrel Smith, right now, they’re asking the school board, principals, and staff to make recommendations on opportunities for learning that can be incorporated into the new 4+1 schedule.
