Elephants, trapeze artists and pygmy hippopotamuses will be under the big top in Washington on Monday. The Carson and Barnes Circus is returning to Washington with two shows Monday night at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Washington County Fairgrounds. This circus began in 1937 and has performed over 30,000 times, according to its website. Dani Kane with the Washington Chamber of Commerce says that she is excited and shares that there will be a petting zoo. Tickets are available for purchase at the Chamber of Commerce, Archer’s Appliance, Fareway, Scott Lujan or at the Korner Kremery and one paid adult ticket comes with one free children’s ticket.
