The Washington County Board of Supervisors have directed staff to continue pursuing routes to remove the Bunker Mill Bridge, however no formal action has been taken. Supervisor Jack Seward stated at their meeting that County Engineer Jacob Thorius should continue moving forward with mitigating the county’s liability that is part of the bridge. However, he stated that should a public entity step forward wishing to deal with the bridge that the supervisors would be willing to consider their plans. The Bunker Mill Bridge was damaged in a fire on August 11th that was deemed arson by officials.
