Congratulations to Washington Demon first basemen Walker Breard on being selected for the Perfect game select team.

This is a team that selected around 150 players from all around Iowa to come out for a tryout to make the team, and less than 30 are picked to play on the team for the fall.

This weekend Breard has a tryout to make one of two teams, the Red or the Black team. The Black team is players who could be drafted into the MLB, and will play in front of Major League scouts, while the red team is players that will play in college.

Breard has his set on the draft team, but would be excited either way.

“I would love to be on the black team, to play in front of the major league scouts, that would be the dream, but I would be happy just going to college to play baseball,” Breard said.

The team will play all over the Mid-West and will make a trip down to Phoenix Arizona to play in front of the professional scouts.

This is just one of the many awards that Breard has won this year for his play at first base, and you can follow Walker right here on KCII as we will follow him through the fall and see how he is doing.
