Iowa’s 60 day dove season begins Sunday. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sets the length of the country’s dove hunting, but states are allowed to choose what time of year to hold the season. He explains the DNR has put out sunflower plots in many public hunting areas, to attract the bird.
