A fall field day will be held at the Iowa State University Southeast Research Farm near Crawfordsville, with cover crops a featured topic. The public event will include speaker Sarah Carlson, a cover crop specialist with Practical Farmers of Iowa. According to Jim Fawcett, ISU Extension Field Agronimist, cover crops can improve soil quality and reduce erosion. The event will be held September 12th at 1:30 and certified crop advisors can obtain credits for a fee.

The farm is located 1 ¾ miles south of Crawfordsville on Hwy 218, then 2 miles east on County Road G-62, then ¾ mile north. Watch for ISU field day signs on Hwy 218.
