Over 500 meals were served at a fundraiser in Riverside last month. The Riverside VFW Flood Relief Fundraiser was started by a group of community members to cover the costs associated with repairing walls, the bathroom and kitchen, which were damaged by spring flooding.
According to VFW Quartermaster Steve Miller, they raised $6,000 in donations. He says it was nice to see so many people come out and support this community effort.
