Majority of Iowa Classified as Abnormally Dry

Abnormally dry conditions are being experienced across much of the state. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, affected areas, including the majority of southeast Iowa, has grown since last week, now covering around 70% of the state. The dry conditions are not expected to last, and according to another report, it should subside by October.
