The Mid-Prairie volleyball team brings back three seniors this year, and also a new face at the head coaching position.

Former IMS head coach Cindy Miller is taking over the Golden Hawks program. She brings a 20-15 record from IMS with her to the Golden Hawks who went 6-24 last year.

The top attacker returns for Mid-Prairie with Taylor Kurtz, she had 136 kills last year, along with 22 aces, she also helped defensively with 21 blocks. At the setter role, Courtney Shalla returns for her senior season after having 162 assists last year, and paired it with 104 digs.

The Golden Hawks kick their season off with a tournament at Keota on August 26th, and host their first game against West Liberty on September 5.

The county rivalry between Washington and Mid-Prairie will be at Mid-Prairie on September 19, and the Golden Hawks host a tournament on September 28, that includes Regina, West Liberty, Marion, Benton Comm. and Keota.

The Conference championship tournament will be on October 17.
