The dry conditions are getting worse across much of Iowa. An area of the state, including parts of Iowa and Keokuk counties, is now in a moderate drought. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, that has doubled in size since last week, now covering over 30% of the state. Around 75% of Iowa, and all of the southeastern portion, is considered abnormally dry.
