A 23-year-old New London man was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals by Medforce Helicopter following an accident in front of Hy-Vee in Mt. Pleasant yesterday. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 23-year-old Joshua Adam Bradley was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle in the east bound lanes of Washington Street when 85-year-old Betty Lou Binning of Mt. Pleasant attempted to make a left turn from the west bound lanes with her Lincoln Town Car and turned in front of the path of Bradley.

The vehicles collided in the east bound lanes, causing the Town Car to rotate and strike a Chevrolet Silverado stopped at the stop sign on Prairie Avenue facing north. Thirty-three-year-old Jason Louis Burgus of Winfield was operating the Silverado.

The impact caused Bradley to be thrown from the motorcycle.

Binning was also injured and transported to Henry County Health Center by ambulance.
