Temporary representation has been chosen, as Riverside’s current City Attorney is expected to resign.
According to City Administrator, Rusty Rogerson, Leslie Lamping has stated he will resign, but has not officially done so.

Bill Sueppel of Meardon, Sueppel & Downer in Iowa City will temporarily help Riverside, until Lamping formally resigns, and a new attorney can be appointed.

Lamping’s decision comes after he missed a few deadlines, including one involving a lawsuit the city is dealing with. Rogerson says he’ll now have to figure out where they stand with the lawsuit, and what the missed deadline means for the city.
