A wreck involving a four-door passenger vehicle and a cement truck was reported yesterday morning at approximately 9:22 on G36. The collision occurred just east of the Washington/Louisa County line. The cement truck rolled onto its passenger side and was operated by 52-year-old KJ Jones. Eighty-year-old Betty Podaril of Columbus Junction was driving the passenger vehicle and according to the Washington Sheriff’s Office, she was trapped in her vehicle.

One subject was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital.

Responding to the scene were the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Louisa County Sheriff’s deputies, Washington County Ambulance, Louisa County Ambulance, Columbus  Fire Department, Ainsworth Fire and Ainsworth QRS.
