Vision Screening Requirements to Begin Next Year

A new state law will require vision screenings for students entering certain grades. According to Sheila Temple, with Washington County Public Health, children will need proof of a screening before they start Kindergarten and 3rd grade. This won’t be mandatory until next year, as the rules are still being written.
