The Columbus Junction volleyball team looks to youth to replace graduating seniors.
Megan Pretz and Christine Milder were the top two names on the list in terms of kills last year, and both have moved on to college. Kelsey Pretz is a junior this year and brings 44 kills with her, and Heidi Duttlinger brings 42 kills with her into her senior season.
Defensively the wildcats bring back Kelsey Pretz, their lead setter with 146 assists last year, and Laura Mincks comes back for her sophomore season with 170 digs. Columbus Junction will look to Kelsey Pretz and Duttlinger to be the blocking wall up front, being the only two with double digit blocks.
Columbus Junction will play their first tournament at the WACO tournament on August 26, and will play L-M and Mediapolis on the 29th.
The Wildcats will play in the conference tournament on September 26 and 28, and will play WMU on October 3.
