WMU volleyball started out the season the right way last night, going 2-0 at the West Burlington triangular.

The Wolves started with Pekin and beat them fairly easily 25-16 and 25-14. Their next match was against West Burlington who put up a good fight, but WMU got the win 25-17 and 26-24.

Emily Mathews and Nicole Escher each had eight kills on the night, while Erica Robinson, Shelby Therme and Lou Krieger-Coen each had six.

Therme also had six aces and 16 digs on the night, while Brooke Jennings had 21 assists and Robinson, Mathews and Escher each had five blocks.

The Wolves move to 2-0 on the season and play again tomorrow at the West Branch Tournament.
