Demon and Golden Hawk Volleyball Both Struggle at Weekend Tournament

The Mid-Prairie volleyball team was in tournament action this weekend and finished 1-2 in pool play, and lost in the first round of the playoffs, as well as their consolation game.

The Golden Hawks lost their first match of the tournament to Benton 21-10 and 21-16, but won their second one against Washington 21-19 and 21-12.

The Golden Hawks then lost in the first round of the playoffs, losing to Marion 25-7 and 25-15. Mid-Prairie had to play Benton again in the consolation and won the first game 25-17, but lost the next two 25-20 and 15-10.

Washington was also at the tournament, and lost all three matches, the one to Mid-Prairie, one to Benton 21-5 and 21-14 and their playoff against Regina 2-0.

Mid-Prairie will host North Cedar on Thursday for homecoming week, while Washington hosts Mt. Pleasant tomorrow for homecoming week. Both matches start at 7:30.
