The battle for the county is on tonight, between the Washington Demons and the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks in volleyball.

Both teams have had their struggles this year and are looking for a win tonight to break up long losing streaks.

The Demons won their first set on Tuesday against Keokuk since the start of the season when they won their first game. The Demons are led by Victoria Bennett in kills with 16 on the season, while Amber Salow is second with 11. Rachel Hall leads the team in assists with 37 and Lauren Swan is the dig leader with 37.

Mid-Prairie has lost seven in a row, and has not played since last Thursday when they traveled to Cascade. Taylor Kurtz is the kill leader with 53 kills on the season, while Courtney Shalla returns as setter and has 97 assists and Ashley Miller has 80 digs.

This game will be at Mid-Prairie with the varsity starting around 6 P.M. after the JV game.
