The Fairfield Police Department advises residents to lock their cars and roll up their windows to prevent the burglaries that were occurred throughout the summer. They say the most commonly stolen items are cash, and small electronics like navigation systems and mp3 players.

Items stolen from parked cars, including an Ipad and skateboard, were found during a consent search executed at an apartment on East Hempstead Avenue on Monday. 18-year-old Christian Steven Tosh is charged with Theft in the Third Degree and Interference with Official Acts as a result of the search.
