WACO School District’s innovative schedule is being debuted next week. According to Superintendent Darrell Smith, beginning next Friday, students will have opportunities to work on things they’re struggling with, recover credits, take college classes, and get hands on experiences that focus on subjects like engineering. To make up for missed class time, students have longer days Monday through Thursday.
WACO is the first district to get approval from the Iowa Department of Education for a four day school week.
