Tonight is the Southeast Iowa Superconference volleyball tournament, and local schools are in different places with different teams, this is a preview of pool three.

Area schools in pool three are Highland, Columbus Junction and Lone Tree.

The Huskies come into the tournament 8-7 and winning three of the their last four, they are led in kills by Chelsey Lampe and Jordan Rath both with 50 plus.

Columbus Junction is 4-7 with their top hitter in Kelsey Pretz with 46 kills, and Lone Tree is 2-11, and their top hitter is Madelyn Flemr with 60 kills.

Other teams in this pool are top ranked in the pool New London who is 17-3, and 8-4 Wapello.

Highland head volleyball coach Chris Rath said that New London is the only team from the south division and if her team wants to win that game, they have to be ready by game number one.

“I think the main thing that we are focusing on is if our girls are playing well to start that’s a good sign, starting off a little slow worries me tomorrow night and I’m hoping they start off with a bang,” Rath said. “If they start off good and get their spirits up and get their rhythm going early I think that they’ll be fine when we get to New London.”

This pool has been moved to Wapello, and will still start at 5 P.M,
