Monday the record high temperature was set and yesterday’s high was 98 degrees with today’s mercury expected to hit 89 degrees. With these high temperatures it is important to keep pets healthy and safe reminds Paws and More Animal Shelter Director Amber Talbot, to not leave pets in cars, which can become hot quickly. Also, pets left outside should have access to water and shade. Talbot says that this summer the shelter has assisted law enforcement in the county with helping animals in the heat.
