The area school board elections had a modest turnout last Tuesday. Out of Mid-Prairie School District’s three voting precincts, one in Kalona, Wellman and another in West Chester, about 6% of registered voters made it to the polls. That’s roughly 300 out of the 5,300 voters in the district. The Highland School District saw 5.5% of its voters at the Ainsworth and Riverside precincts.
