The Golden Hawk volleyball team will have to wait to break the losing streak, as they fell to West Branch last night 25-10, 25-11 and 25-15.
Mid-Prairie had just 14 kills in the entire match, led by Taylor Kurtz and Laura Yoder who both had four kills on the night. Ashley Sojka had assisting hands last night with six assists, and Shaylee Brown had five digs.
Head coach Cindy Miller said the match was tough no matter what because of their opponent, but with Courtney Shalla out of the setter position due to injury and Ashley Sojka in that position, it made it a little tougher.
Mid-Prairie falls to 3-7 this year, and will be back in action tomorrow night when they travel to Cascade in Western Dubuque for one of the longest road trips that they will have to take for a conference game.
