The Mid-Prairie volleyball team is coming off five straight losses but have a game tonight that they can turn it around on.

The Golden Hawks play host to West Branch tonight for a conference battle.

Mid-Prairie is still being led by Taylor Kurtz in kills with 40, while Laura Yoder and Shaylee Brown both have 10 aces on the season thus far. Defensively Courtney Shalla leads the team with 80 assists, but she dinged up her hand over the weekend, so the Golden Hawks may look to Ashlin Stumpf tonight to do the setting with her 30 assists.

West Branch is 5-3 and is led in kills by Madison Russell with 49 kills and Haley Poula with 46 kills, Poula also has 14 aces on the season as well. Allyson Simpson leads the team in assists with 79, with Trystin Luneckas right behind her with 60 assists. Madison Russell leads the dig game with 47.

Tonight’s match is at Mid-Prairie with varsity starting at 7:30.
