The Mid-Prairie volleyball team had a tough weekend at the Mount Vernon Tournament going 0-4.
The Golden Hawks played CPU first and lost 21-12 and 21-15, then they played North Cedar and lost 21-7 and 21-15, they lost to Maquoketa 21-12 and 21-15 and finally they fell to IMS 2-1, winning the first game 25-19 and then dropping the final two 25-22 and 15-10.
Ashlin Stumpf had to take over the setting duties, do to an injury to Courtney Shalla’s hand and had 28 assists, 11 digs and five blocks.
Taylor Kurtz led the team in kills with Ashley Miller, both had 11, but Miller also added 24 digs to her numbers as well.
Mid-Prairie falls to 3-6 on the season and will host West Branch Tomorrow as the Golden Hawks get into district play.
