Bobbie Wulf presented a proposed agreement for Washington and Keokuk counties to share her position of Mental Health Disability Services Director at yesterday’s Board of Supervisors meeting. The proposal was a sharing of 68-percent to 32-percent, which Wulf says will help save Washington County $9,000 and Keokuk County $32,000. She has been working in this dual-role without an agreement since March.

Supervisor Steve Davis did express some hesitation regarding the salary; Washington County would cover $55,000 and Keokuk County be responsible for $20,000.

Supervisor Jack Seward stated that if any other department head would take on another county’s office he would advocate for a raise as well.

he supervisors tabled the discussion and established a work session for tomorrow at 1 p.m.
