The Southeast Iowa Superconference pairings have been released for round one on Thursday.

In pool one is: Top ranked Holy Trinity Catholic, West Burlington, Pekin, WACO and Maharishi and will be played at Maharishi.

In pool two is: Mediapolis, Notre Dame, Central Lee, Danville and Harmony, and will be played at Notre Dame.

In pool three is: New London, Highland, Wapello, Columbus Junction, and Lone Tree and will be played at Columbus.

In pool four is: Top ranked area school IMS, WMU, Cardinal, Van Buren and Louisa Muscatine, and will be played at Cardinal.

IMS head coach Dwight Gingerich says it’s going to be a tough pool for his team with WMU again, and that to get ready for this tournament a team must be ready on serve one.

“You try and prepare at practice and then you jump in and you go, some of [our kids] have been through this before so they know what it is like,” Gingerich said. “Hopefully [we] come out and execute and just play hard and take care of business, sometimes those games to 21 can be quick so you have to really be ready from the start.”

There will be five rounds in the day, with one team having a bye each round, and the first round of the night will start at 5 P.M., and each game will be played best of three and to 21 points.

The top two teams in each pool will move onto the championship round on Saturday, and you can find those after Thursday’s game right here on AM and FM KCII and KCIIradio.com.
