The first half of real estate and mobile home taxes are due this month. Washington County Treasurer Jeff Garrett reminds residents that they must be paid by September 30th if they wish to avoid a penalty. Payments must be accompanied by the statement coupons and can be made in person at the treasurer’s office, mailed, deposited in the drop box at the courthouse or paid online at IowaTreasurers.org. The Washington County Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:15 pm.
