Battle of Top Ten Opponents Clash on Tonight

It’s a big ranked game tonight for the Golden Hawks, as No. 7 Mid-Prairie takes on No. 5 Mediapolis in a clash of unbeaten district opponents.

The Golden Hawks had a 49-0 shutout homecoming win over Columbus last week and are led by Reid Miller at quarterback who is 59-104 for 769 yards four interceptions and six touchdowns on the year. Running wise it is Eesaa Baylor who has pulled away with the lead with 466 yards and five touchdowns.

Zach Schwartz remains Reid’s favorite target with 15 catches for 213 yards and three touchdowns.

The Bulldogs are led by a pair of Drews. Drew Foster at quarterback is 50-104 with 972 yards three interceptions and nine touchdowns, while Drew Buster is the top running back with 532 yards and seven touchdowns. The Bulldogs only have two receivers, with the favorite of the two being Seth Bietz with 18 catches, 467 yards and four touchdowns.

If Mid-Prairie wins and West Burlington loses the Golden Hawks will be in the playoffs.
