A fundraiser with dinner and auctions is being held this Saturday for an area church and the chaplain program at the University of Iowa. Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington is hosting the dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday and Pastor Maureen Howard explains that the funds raised will go to the church and to the University of Iowa Chaplain program. The chaplaincy provides religious support to those in the hospital for people of all faiths. Howard states that it helps those at the University know that they are not alone.
The fundraiser dinner is open to the community and costs $25, doors open at 5 p.m. with a silent auction and a live auction will begin at 7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
