Angela Lobberecht, Key Account Manager with Alliant Energy, presented the company’s annual report at this week’s Washington City Council meeting. She explaiend that last year, residents of Washington submitted 878 energy rebates with nearly $200,000 in customer rebate incentives. She adds that the city as a whole, reduced the kilowatt hours, by 5.2 million, which is the equivalent of just over 410,000 gallons of gas.

Also, she explained that Alliant Energy improved infrastructure in the community last year with over $600,000 invested in electrical and $77,000 for natural gas infrastructure investments.

In addition, Lobberecht explained that Alliant has Hometown Challenge grants that are given to area nonprofit organizations and government-related entities for safety related projects, such as tornado sirens.
