Columbus Junction ran at Mediapolis last night and had the girl’s finish fourth and the boy’s fifth.

Taylor Hills led the way for the girl’s team finishing fifth overall in a time of 17:50, and Yvette Aguilar was close behind with a 14th place finish in 19:27. Ashley Canny was 16th in 19:37, Claire Hamilton was 18th in 19:50 and Jessica Morales was 25th in 20:53.

Columbus Junction finished with 68 points, while Mediapolis won the meet with 36.

On the boy’s side, they were led by Eli Sents who finished eighth overall in 17:47, followed behind by Efrain Barajas in ninth in 17:51, and Josh Keller in 11th in a time of 17:57. Anthony Garcia was 33rd in a time of 20:00 and Adrian Santos rounded out the scorers with a 38th place finish in 20:32.

The Wildcats finished fifth with 99 points, while the winner of the meet was Highland with 54.

Both teams will run at the regional and district meet next week.
