The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved vacating a portion of a county road yesterday morning. The County has now vacated the portion of Nutmeg Avenue directly north of the Bunker Mill Bridge. Supervisor Jack Seward said that he has heard positive feedback regarding the steps that the board is taking in conjunction with the Friends of Bunker Mill Bridge.

A public hearing regarding vacating the road was held prior to official action.

Landowner Rod Stumpf, who owns land south of Bunker Mill Bridge, expressed interest in the county vacating a portion of the road directly south of the bridge as well.
