There is an outbreak of Crypto in Iowa and Washington County Public Health is warning people to not consume unpasteurized products. Washington County Public Health Director, Danielle Pettit-Majewski explains, that it is illegal to sell unpasteurized products in the state of Iowa and Washington County is not currently investigating any cases of Crypto.

She says, some of the symptoms of the disease include head ache, abdominal cramping and watery diarrhea which is commonly contracted in recreational water, like pools, but is spread through fecal oral transmission. Those who may have the disease are encouraged to contact their doctor and Washington County Public Health.
