The Washington Demons ran at the their district and regional meet last night, and had no qualifiers for state, but did have some great runs by their athletes.
For the girls, Washington was 12th with 319 points, while the winner of the meet was Davenport Assumption with 21 points and taking the top three spots at the meet.
The top runner for the Demons was Emme Keith, finishing 30th in a time of 16:35, and behind her was Mariah Howard in 59th with a time of 18:04. The other three scoring runners for Washington was Stephanie Loy in 71st in a time of 19:13, and three runners finished with a time of 20:44, with Emma Wood taking 79th, Stephanie Fishback 80th and Chayse Jaspering 81st.
On the boy’s side, they also finished 12th with 369 points, while the winner of the meet was Clear Creek-Amana with 73.
Top runner for the Demons was Austin Latchem in 64th with a time of 19:01, behind him was Curtis Vest in 68th with a time of 19:23, Owen Horak was 78th with a time of 20:49, Jarek Brown was 79th with a time of 21:23 and Jiovanni Tapia was 80th with a time of 21:53.
This was the final meet for the Demon Cross Country team this season.
