The Washington Demons ran at the Southeast Conference cross country meet last and had a great performance by Emme Keith.

Keith finished in eighth place in the girl’s race earning her all-conference recognition.

Head coach Steve Roth said it was the best race she has run and could have run.

“It was outstanding, coach Tschantz and I are just ecstatic with Emme Keith getting eighth and getting the all-conference selection,” Roth said. “That’s what we need, 12 kids ran their PR’s and we tried to get to single digits and we were close in both of them, but Keith just went out hard, ran an outstanding race held back about the mile and a half marker, but she was running second or third most of the time and then creeped back up there at the end and then had a nice spring at the end and we’re just ecstatic for her, she just ran an outstanding race.”
