A 14-year-old female suffered a severe bite in the facial area from a dog Friday evening in Washington. Police Chief Greg Goodman states that the girl is looking at various surgery options and rabies shots. The Washington Police Department is still looking for the dog involved in the case. Goodman adds that officers have gone door to door in an effort to find the dog. The incident occurred near the intersection of Avenue C and West Madison Street.

Goodman states that the dog is described as a medium-sized, all brown, pit-bull type dog and anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 653-2256.
