The Mid-Prairie cross country teams ran at their first River Valley Conference meet last night, and got a runner up performance from the boys.

The boys were led by Ryan Errthum who finished in 13th place with a time of 17:39. Behind him was Jared Draper in 17th with a time of 17:50, Zeb Schwartz in 19th with a time of 18:06, Ty Feigenspan in 21st in a time of 18:07 and Cade Miller wrapped up the scoring runners for Mid-Prairie in 22nd place with a time of 18:10.

The boy’s finished in second place with 92 points, while Monticello was the winner with 28.

On the girl’s side, Mid-Prairie was led by Maddi Zahradnek in 22nd place with a time of 17:31. Behind her was Beth Chmelar in 24th with a time of 17:34, Calli Shaw in 29th with a time of 17:52, Greta Schmidt in 36th with a time of 18:12 and Grace Chmelar in 50th in a time of 19:28.

The girls finished seventh with 161 points, while the winner of the meet was Cascade with 57.

Mid-Prairie will run at their regional and district meet next week.
