A Habitat for Humanity home is being constructed in Washington this fall and volunteers are needed. A group from Faith Baptist Church recently volunteered, Harald Gruber says that the group enjoyed the work and helped put up trusses.

No prior construction experience is needed just a willingness to help a family in town, adds Margie Roth, the Washington Liason for Habitat for Humanity. Work gloves and closed toe shoes are recommended.

People will be working on the house on Highland Avenue today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and anyone else interested in helping should sign up online — to sign up to volunteer click here and then click on “Washington Build.”
