The sixth annual SNOW, or Showcasing Nights of Washington, sponsored by Main Street Washington, a series of activities was approved by the Washington City Council. Judy McKowen explained at the city council’s meeting that the goal is to showcase the town while celebrating the holiday season. Some of the events include a Twilight Shop and Stroll, a lighted holiday parade and breakfast with Santa. The parade will be held November 29th, the day after Thanksgiving, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Also, Santa’s house will be open the weekends throughout November and December. Stouffer is donating his time as Santa this year and in return the city is allowing him to have his book, about his 43 years of experience as Santa, for sale at Santa’s house in the old library.
