The IMS cross country team ran at the Iowa City High meet last night and showed well against the large schools in attendance.
On the boy’s side Kirby Shetler was the top runner with a time of 18:12, good for 21st place. Other boy’s placers were Noah Bruns in 53rd with a time of 21:37, Payton Miller in 54th in a time of 21:42, Kobi Russom in 55th with a time of 23:50 and Rex Yoder in 56th with a time of 25:17.
IMS finished sixth with 169 points, while Iowa City High finished with a perfect 15.
In the girl’s race IMS was led by Renee Buckwalter in 26th place with a time of 17:40. Other scorers were Michaela Gingerich in 41st with a time of 21:45, Katya Doroshenko in 42nd with a time of 25:07, Nani Qimatshoeva in 43rd with a time of 28:00 and Anna Rossokhina was 44th.
IMS was fifth with 146 points while City high won the meet with 35.
