Authorities are investigating the death of an infant in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a Libertyville home in reference to a deceased infant at around 5am Friday Morning. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, The Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner, the Jefferson County Medical Examiner, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Department of Human Services, and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the incident.
