A workshop about installing solar energy panels on livestock or commercial buildings is being held next week in Washington. Ed Raber Director of the Washington Economic Development Group explains that the event is being held to help area farmers and business owners decide if solar energy is something they wish to pursue because many of the rebates expire at the end of the year. Some area farmers who have installed the solar panels will be speaking at the event as well as representatives from energy companies and Bill Haman with Iowa’s Alternative Energy Revolving Loan Program.

The event will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the KC Hall in Washington and registration is $30, which includes lunch. To register click here.
