Members of Leadership Washington soared above Washington this week. As part of the Economic Development and Finance Day on Wednesday, the members of the class had the chance to fly in a small aircraft while learning about the operations and services of the Washington Municipal Airport. The planes were flown by Mike Roe, Richard Bordwell and Tim Swift from the local airport. The class also had a bus tour of Washington guided by Keith Lazar, visited the Main Street Washington and Washington Chamber offices and toured the Casey Building, recently renovated by Jim and Ann WIlliams. The renovation was funded in part with TIF, tax increment financing, and a Main Street Washington grant. For more information about the Leadership Washington program contact the Washington Chamber.
