The Mid-Prairie cross country team was at the North Linn Invite this weekend and got a third place showing from the boys.

The Golden-Hawks were led by Jared Draper in 16th place with a time of 17:31, followed by Ty Feigenspan in 19th with a time of 17:40, Ryan Errthum in 26th in 17:51, Zeb Schwartz in 29th in 17:55 and Cade Miller in 40th with a time of 18:18.

Mid-Prairie finished third place at the meet with 130 points, while the winner was Monticello with 36, followed by Center Point Urbana in second with 112 points.

On the girl’s side of things they were led by Abby Tornow in 12th place with a time of 15:32. The other scoring runners for the girl’s team was Maddi Zahradenk in 49th in a time of 16:20, Beth Chmelar in 61st in a time of 16:33, Greta Schmidt in 73rd in a time of 16:53 and Calli Shaw in 74th in a time of 16:54.

Mid-Prairie finished the North Linn meet 12th as a team with 264 points while the winner of the meet was Mt. Pleasant with 101 points.

The Golden-Hawks will run again this Thursday at the conference cross country meet at Bellevue.
