The Mid-Prairie School District is making progress towards meeting federal proficiency standards. The district met No Child Left Behind’s requirements in reading and math proficiency based on last year’s student performance on the Iowa Assessments. The district is listed as in need of assistance in the federal program’s State Report Card.

All of the district’s school’s are listed as in need of assistance. Individually, Kalona Elementary and the Middle School missed the proficiency level needed for math. Kalona Elementary has missed the mark for reading the past two years, while the Middle School has been on the list for 5 years.
