A four-year-old girl was found approximately an hour after she had been reported missing by her mother Thursday morning. According to the mother, the girl had stated she went for a walk to get some exercise and returned home. At about 10:10 a.m. the Washington Communications Center received a report of a missing red-headed girl described as wearing jean shorts and a black t-shirt. The girl could not be found in the home and area authorities responded to the home in the 1900 block of Willow Avenue, near Highland High School.

Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Ainsworth First Responders, Riverside First Responders, a dive team and Emergency Managment Coordinator Larry Smith were paged to the rural Washington County home.
