Construction of a park across from the memorial building in Sigourney is scheduled to begin in May. The park will feature a shelter, playground, and veterans memorial. Right now, the project has $40,000 in funding from the City and a $50,000 grant from Midwest One Bank.  Grants, and donations from the community will be sought to cover the remaining $100,000 needed.
